When your warehouse partner uses Tradelink to help fulfil your Amazon orders, we need to connect to your Amazon account. We know your data is valuable, so we've built our system to access only what's necessary—and keep it secure.
This guide explains in plain English what we see, what we can do, and most importantly, what we can't do with your Amazon account.
| We Access ✓ | Why We Need It | We DON'T Access ✗ |
|---|---|---|
Order Details Order IDs, SKUs, quantities | To know what to ship | Payment Info Credit cards, bank accounts |
Shipping Addresses Where packages go | To send items to the right place | Advertising Data PPC campaigns, sponsored products |
Product Information Titles, sizes, weights, ASINs | To pack and label correctly | Sales Analytics Revenue, profit margins, trends |

Access Financial Data
We can't see revenue, profits, or sales analytics
Think of it this way: We're like a warehouse worker who can see the picking list and shipping labels, and can help you keep your inventory records up to date and add new products, but has no access to your business strategy, finances, or customer relationships.
Why we have write access: Being able to create/update listings and inventory quantities makes your life easier. When you get new products to sell, we can help you get them listed quickly. And keeping your inventory counts synchronized ensures Amazon always knows your current stock levels—preventing overselling or missed sales opportunities.
An API is like a messenger between two computer systems. When we connect to your Amazon account, we use Amazon's official API (called the "Selling Partner API") to request specific information. Amazon controls what we can ask for—we only get what they allow.
Orders API
Gets order details so we know what to ship and where
Fulfilment Inbound API
Creates shipment plans to send your products to Amazon warehouses
Catalogue API
Looks up product information like dimensions and weight
Listings API
Creates and updates product listings when you have new products to sell, and checks listing details for proper product handling
Reports API
Downloads operational reports to manage your fulfilment
✓ All data is encrypted—both when it's stored and when it's moving between systems
✓ Hosted in secure data centres
✓ Our systems are in a locked-down private network that's not accessible from the public internet
✓ Only people who absolutely need access to your data can see it
✓ We review who has access every year and immediately remove it when someone leaves
✓ Our systems watch for suspicious activity around the clock
✓ Automatic alerts if anything unusual happens
✓ If there's ever a security issue, we'll notify you within 24 hours
We never sell your data or share it with competitors. Period.
The One Exception:
We share shipping addresses with Shippo (a shipping label service) so we can create labels to send your packages. That's it.
You don't have to just trust us. Amazon gives you tools to see exactly what we're accessing. Here's how:
You can disconnect our access anytime through Amazon Seller Central. Here's exactly what happens:
✓ We lose access to your Amazon account instantly
✓ No new data gets pulled from Amazon
✓ All automated processes for your account stop
✓ All personal customer information (addresses, etc.) gets automatically deleted
✓ This happens on schedule even if you disconnect sooner
✓ Non-personal operational data (order IDs, SKUs, shipment IDs)
What We Keep for Legal Reasons
Like any business, we're required by law to keep certain records:
No. We don't have access to your sales figures, revenue, profit margins, or any financial data. We only see order details needed for fulfilment.
We monitor our systems 24/7 to prevent this. But if it ever happened, we'd notify you and Amazon within 24 hours, and immediately work to secure your data. We take this very seriously.
No. We have zero ability to change prices. Your pricing strategy is completely under your control. While we can create and update product listings and inventory quantities (to help you manage your catalogue), we cannot touch pricing at all.
Only team members who need it for their job—typically warehouse operations staff and technical support. We review access permissions regularly.
Amazon controls what we can access through their API permissions system. You can verify our exact permissions anytime in Seller Central (see the "How to Check" section above).
